What does this staking estimate show?
Annual percentage yield (APY) expresses a one-year rate that accounts for compounding. This calculator converts the entered APY into an equivalent periodic rate for the reward frequency you select, then compounds that rate for the number of periods in the duration. It returns an estimated reward quantity and ending token balance.
As an illustration, 100 tokens at a constant 5% APY for one year would result in about 105 tokens before any deductions, if rewards were fully credited and the stated APY remained effective. The outcome is expressed in the token units you enter. It does not assign a dollar value to rewards or convert token prices.
This simplified model assumes a fixed APY, continuous availability of the entire starting balance, and regular reinvestment of earned rewards at the selected frequency. Real staking arrangements may use variable reward rates, lockups, validator commissions, slashing, downtime, protocol rules, or reward distribution schedules that differ. Some advertised rates are estimates or may be expressed as APR rather than APY. Confirm the rate definition and terms with the relevant provider or protocol.
The calculator does not fetch a blockchain, exchange, or staking provider, and it does not assess network risk, liquidity, taxes, or suitability. Results are mathematical scenarios only, not promises of reward. The frequency input sets how often the modeled rewards are added; it cannot make a rate guaranteed or imply that a particular service compounds on that schedule. Token symbols are display labels, not verified asset identifiers.
Frequently asked questions
Is the APY guaranteed?
No. The entered rate is held constant for this scenario, while actual staking rates and rewards can change or be reduced.
Does this include token price changes?
No. Results are in token quantity only and do not estimate market value or price movement.
Are commissions or taxes deducted?
No. Provider fees, network costs, slashing, taxes, and other deductions are not modeled.
